Photo shoot!

We have Japanese magazine coming to do a photo shoot tomorrow in the restaurant. They are doing a feature on brunch service. Only a couple problems, we don't serve brunch until the weekend and they want to shoot between 3-4pm and lunch service ends at 3:00. This going to be a mad dash to clean up, set up and cook for just 3 photo quality plates. This always seems to be the case with film crews and photographers, they have no concept of restaurant time.
It should be interesting to say the least.

Reminds me of working in country clubs--the members come in between 3 and 4 looking to eat brunch (altho' it's only served on Sundays, 10 to 2)......

Oh!country club bastards are the worst! They act like you're their servant and expect you to drop what tyou're doing and bow down to their wishes.

I had photos on the front page of the food section a couple of weeks ago.
They came in over a month ago and the photographer was handed off to me. She wanted to take my food home with her and photograph it. I was pissed. First of all, I am not the number one PR guy and had a lot on my plate. Second of all, I didn't want them to slop the food around then shoot the photos. I demanded the right to be able to sign-off on the photos.
Turns out that she did a great job and everything turned out super.
