This knife is from the same maker of the Dojo Blue steel line.
Just picked it up today, nice little knife, at 190mm it is a tad small for most of my gyuto work, but I think it will fill a gap between my petty and my 240mm gyuto's nicely. Nicely finished blade, smooth rounded spine and heel edges. Normally I have to spend a few minutes sanding down offending areas to get them how I like them, but this one was good out of the box. The buffalo horn bolster was actually black plastic, and slightly lower than the rest of the handle. I like the handle, a beefy, oval shaped with a glossy, seemingly water resistant finish. Very nice factory edge, better than most I have encountered, but I still tuned it up with my new Shapton 15000. I will estimate the hardness as low to mid 60's. Very, very thin at the edge, glided through a ripe tomatoe extremely nicely. If you are looking for a smaller gyuto for smaller jobs, this might be the one. Here is the description from Daniel O'Malley.
