is it a good idea to have a copper mixing bowl?
I found a set of three vintage bowls for a great price, but would it make sense for anything more than whipping up egg whites?
I thought I read somewhere that mixing cakes in copper produced some fluffier cakes.
That's the purpose of copper bowls. I can't think of any other advantages.

Hey John, if you don't need all three maybe I'll take one of your hands.

I got an old one in excellent shape from a friend for Christmas, it's 7" across and 5" deep and so far the only use I've had for it is to make my wall look nice. I missed on a huge, heavily used one in an antique store for $45 but I couldn't figure out where to put it, it was probably 18" across and a foot deep, so banged up but in a really great antique way.
