Very nice collection. There is something about the look of a Shun that just not look right to me personally.
Happy collecting :)
i personally would've loved the shun classic without the damascus. and if the price drops just a tad it'd be a killer beginner's knife.

That 6" Shun is great first Japanese knife. I got it on sale a couple years ago and was just in awe of that thin sharp blade. It wasn't nearly long enough but it stayed sharp for the longest time.

That's a great collection, Jeff. Very diverse and well-rounded. The Watanabe damascus looks especially nice.

You are not planning to sell that Watanabe suji, are you? I would be interested. Have a soft spot for Watanabe knives (well, after I do all of the additional work that he doesn't do, like polishing a spine and a machi). How come no sayas? :)
