I'm in a weak state of mind wishing to buy a knife i may not really need. I prefer inox mono-steel. Is this one worth the buy? Opinions? Horrible handle?

The knife you're suggesting is not monosteel, but the steel is very nice, the maker is respected on the internets (for whatever that's worth), and the price is nice for a wa-gyuto.
If it has to be monosteel, there's a monosteel VG-10 wa-gyuto sold by Japanese Chefs Knife for $15USD more, but that Tanaka Ginsanko looks pretty neat to me (other than the right-handed handle).

Thom: thanks. What is considered mono-steel then?
Edit to add: isn't the Togiharu Hammered Damascus VG-10? Feels much softer than 62 R.
If you look at the bottom of the kasumi finish on that knife, you'll see a line between it and the end. It's some sort of cladding. Monosteel just means the blade has no cladding and isn't pattern-welded.
The Togiharu hammered knives have a VG-10 core. Outside of the older Ryusen-made "HD" knives (pick a brand - any brand), I don't know of any mass-produced VG-10 knives hardened to RC62.

Weakness of my soul! Call me a sinner, but i couldn't resist. Will post a review when I get it.
There's no sin in wanting/buying/using/enjoying clad knives.

I have to say this Metal Master vendor is not so much trustable. I do not recommend it. They care a shi* about customers. Not a single answer to my emails. Even if someday i get the knife i paid for, i doubt i will ever buy again from him/them.
I have bought both synthetic and natural stones from him with out problems, but that was a couple of years ago while he still sold on ebay.
Well. I got six emails from them in the last two months. They say:
Thank you for your inquiry.
This is an automatic reply.
Things change I guess. Let's be patient.
Maybe looking for another seller of Tanaka's gyutos or for other knives in that price range that appeal to you would be good next steps.
