From the Dr. Evil get-up to the delivery of the spirit-crushing criticisms to his joie de vivre to the amazing ways his contestants use his ingredients and inspirations to make dazzling confections instead of braining him with a baking dish and rolling him for cash (see spirit-crushing criticisms), Ron Ben-Israel's show of Food Network has been addicting for me.


I think he's judging whether or not this contestant's work is worth the antidote to some toxin he administered at the start of the competition.

I like the premise.

With the withering criticisms I can't help but wonder, to the point of distraction, what would Ron come up with if he were on the contestant side.

Also the set looks very low budget (cheap).

I'm sorry, but the show makes me wanna puke; right after I choke the bajeebies out of the skin-head. No offense intended.

I saw some of one episode and hated it. His attitude is so condescending/snobby and he tries too hard to come up with kitsch words to describe the food. Horrible show on Food Networks part! His mannerisms are way too over the top as well. Can't stand to watch his show!
