    yeah, im just an extern right now on the property, the neckerchief isnt too bad, after a year in culinary school wearing them another couple months wont hurt.

    chef says i dont have to wear one and my jackets are provided too, just throw them into the laundry bin when it's dirty i feel so pampered <3

    Mmmm neckerchief... memories... *chills*

    when i worked at water grill we have 1 sous chef who loves to do sock checks...

    Hmm, Don't you guys have an open kitchen? It is a deduction when the inspector comes on by Even if you have no hair! you need to wear a hat.

    the chefs at providence and water grill never wear hats either. and neither does chefs in most of the restaurants in LA. we have paper hats handy if that should happen and inspector can't get into the kitchen without going through the front door first inspector has came 3 times in the past 5 months and every time is a scramble for paper hat, but it's soooooo nice to not have to wear one <3

    ps. you also have to sing happy birthday 5 times when you wash your hand and wear gloves who do that *wink*

    Hats aren't required in Washington. Just my old school English chef likes 'em. But he doesn't wear one.
