New Global models

Global has introduced some new models that may be of interest to the group. The first is the granton santoku in both 7" and 5 1/2" blade lenghts. The Global numbers are G48 for the longer one and GS37 for the shorter model. MAP (internet) prices will be $90 for the G48 and $66 for the GS37.

They also introduced a new parer with a western style 3 1/2" blade. It's number is GS38. The new parer will have a street price of $44. No images yet, sorry.

Always with the 3.5" parers. Why? Whose hand is really so big they need a 3.5" parer? I'm stuck with an old $5 Henckels as my favourite parer because it was the best one I could find under 3.5". Actually I shouldn't complain it does the job pretty well. Paring isn't really demanding on a knife.
