I only got my first J. knife 5 months ago so I'm moving pretty fast haha...

Currently we got:

Misono 145mm Honesuki
Unknown 160mm Deba (If anyone knows help me out here..)
F. Dick 80mm Paring Knife
Cheap Inox Turning Knife

And I have a Carter 6.2 sun Funayuki on order

Nice start, but you know that the journey is endless, right? I like the profile of the Takeda, many are to flat for my taste. I'm sure the funayuki will fit right in.

I really like the Takeda's profile as well. I too have seen a lot of oddly shaped ones but when I saw this one I knew it was for me, not too flat, not too rounded, and not quite as tall as others I've seen.

And yes, I do know this is an endless journey... I'm into guitars too so I know all about GAS... (Gear Acquisition Syndrome).

If you want a real sickness start building guitars. I did and that vice is definitely gonna have to compete with building a nice arsenal of knives!

I'm glad you love your Takeda. I really like them - conceptually - want to pick one up soon!

This is actually quite old... I ended up not liking the Takeda at all, ha. I'll have to snap a new pick of the 'rig'...
