Default Phil Wilson CPM 10V custom large chef knife **TRADED***

I have a like-new Phil Wilson custom full-sized chef knife with a CPM 10V blade and a full-tang African Blackwood handle with mosaic pins for sale. Phil told me that this knife is noteworthy in that he believes that it is the first full-sized chef knife ever made in CPM 10V. It still may be the only one ever made; the info I got from Phil is about a year old, and he did say then that he would probably never do another one of these again due to the intense amounts of labor in working with this steel.

According to Phil, CPM 10V is the Crucible steel with the highest wear resistance of all that you can realistically make a knife out of. He also said that the steel is more difficult to finish than even S30V, so another noteworthy fact about this knife is that it has a nice handrubbed finish for the entire length of its 10" blade.

I would say that of all the custom kitchen knives that I've ever owned, this Wilson is without a doubt the nicest one. The craftsmanship on this knife is exquisite, and like the Ray Rogers I recently sold, it is one of the nicest-looking kitchen knives that I've ever seen. Like Japanese kitchen knives such as the Kershaw Shun line, the blade is ground thin for maximum sharpness, and while I wouldn't recommend hacking up bones with this piece, it should be up to just about any other task in the kitchen.

I've used this knife a few times since receiving it from Phil, but it doesn't show any signs of wear and looks and feels as good as on the day I got it. The knife is still sharp and has never been resharpened. When I have used it, it has been a cutting machine in the kitchen.

    ***TRADED***

    The specs:

    Condition: Like new
Blade length: 9 5/8" cutting edge
    Overall length: 14 3/4"
Blade thickness: 5/32" at ricasso with full distal taper
    Blade steel: CPM 10V
    Blade finish: Handrubbed
    Edge: Plain
Handle material: African Blackwood, finely sanded, with mosaic pins

For payment, I prefer USPS money orders, but I will also accept PayPal and cash (at your own risk). If you are paying by PayPal, I will cover the fees, but the payment has to be sent with a PayPal-confirmed address (including the green "confirmed" marker) listed in the invoice, and I will only ship to that PayPal-confirmed address. I will only accept a personal check if I know you, and I reserve the right to wait for it to clear before I ship.

I will consider trades for custom folders. However, I am not interested in serrated blades, production knives, or fixed blades other than small (less than 5" blade) Hossoms or Russ Andrews at this point in time.

Feel free to post, email, or PM any questions. Thanks for looking!
